But Their Emails: Republicans React to Their Own Email Scandal

Across the Capitol this week, there were heated debates over using private email accounts for official government work, skirting federal transparency laws and accusations of partisan hypocrisy were heard, in what many see as an unwelcome rerun of the debate over Hillary Clinton's use of a private server. But unlike the last episode, when the GOP showed uniformity in calling for Clinton's head,This article originally appeared on www.rollingstone.com: But Their Emails: Republicans React to Their Own Email Scandal

Pretty Little Liars: Lucy Hale reveals her season 1 crush on Ian Harding

It’s been three months since Pretty Little Liars ended, and now, the truth is finally coming out.
The Ellen Show released a video with the PLL cast — presumably from their visit back in April — where the women of Rosewood are asked to play a little game of Never Have I Ever. Together, stars Sasha Pieterse, Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell, and Troian Bellisario get candid about making assistants cry, lying about their ages, and even on-set crushes.
Benson and Mitchell admit to having had a crush on Nolan North, who played Mr. Hastings — a.k.a. Spencer’s dad — on the series. Meanwhile, Hale revealed that way back in season 1 she actually had a crush on Ian Harding. Of course, PLL fans know that Harding played Ezra Fitz, who just so happened to be Hale’s love interest on the show. (Spoiler alert: Their characters got married in the series finale.)

Sip on this Will & Grace cocktail while watching the season premiere

Praise (Just) Jack — Will & Grace is back!
Celebrate the show’s return (Thursday 9 p.m. ET on NBC) as Karen Walker (Megan Mullally) would: with a drink or six. Knock back this W&G-inspired mix from Andy Heidel, author of The Cocktail Guide to the Galaxy.
The Designated Drinker:
Ingredients:
1 orange slice

2 dashes Angostura bitters

2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters

2 splashes lemon juice

1 sugar cube

2 oz. Jack Daniel’s whiskey

½ oz. Barrow’s Intense Ginger Liqueur

1 absinthe wash

2 oz. Prosecco
Directions:
1. Put on some snappy piano music.
2. Chill a fancy glass (coupe, wine, or champagne glass) and set it aside. Reassure the fancy glass that you’ll come back to it, no matter what, even if the jelly jar looks more attractive right now (shhh, it’s okay).
3. In a pint glass or a shaker, muddle the orange slice, bitters, lemon juice, and sugar cube.
4. Muddling is when you smoosh the ingredients together with a blunt object like Karen.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus announces breast cancer diagnosis

Julia Louis-Dreyfus has been diagnosed with breast cancer, she announced Thursday.
The Veep star posted an Instagram to share the news, captioned “Just when you thought…”:
“The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union,” Louis-Dreyfus wrote in her announcement. “The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let’s fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality.” She ended the brief note with a signature.

A source confirms to EW that Louis-Dreyfus received her diagnosis the Monday following the Emmy Awards, and that it had no part in the decision to make the upcoming season of Veep the show’s last. Writers are continuing to work and the production schedule will be adjusted to accommodate the star as needed.

New Thor: Ragnarok trailer features Cate Blanchett kicking major butt

Cate Blanchett, action hero.
These are not words that one would think would ever be said aloud but now are a reality thanks to Thor: Ragnarok.
In the latest Chinese trailer for the Marvel film, the Oscar-winner, playing Goddess of Death Hela, is shown in some major fight sequences with both Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson).
“I worked with the legend Zoe Bell,” Blanchett told EW last March. “I did as much as was humanly possible for a middle-aged mother of four . I learned so much. All sorts of capoeira stuff. All the stunts and the fights were really interestingly choreographed. But I did train, ostensibly, so I wouldn’t injure my self.”
We also get to see her spooky headdress do some weird morphing. Even her accessories are bad ass! “She’s able to manifest weapons,” explained Blanchett. “Her headdress can be weapons. “She can manifest weapons out of different parts of her body. I won’t tell you which — I’ll leave that hanging for a moment.”
Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on Nov. 3.
